What an incredible day it was for the Dance Central students at the CYD? Nottingham Regionals! From the moment they stepped into their workshops, their dedication and talent across various dance genres left me absolutely blown away. They have truly surpassed all expectations, showcasing their remarkable skills and passion for dance.

Among the many shining stars of the day, a handful of our exceptional Inters stood out from the crowd. Selected to showcase their talents in smaller groups, they seized the opportunity and delivered performances that left everyone in awe. I couldn’t be prouder of their achievements!
In the midst of the long and exhilarating day, another shining star emerged—Erin. Not only did she impress everyone with her breathtaking performance, but she also caught the attention of talent scouts from the highly regarded Performers College associate program and was offered a funded Performers College associate program! Congratulations, Erin!
Main stage excitement.
But the excitement didn’t stop there. Despite being the smallest group on the Main Stage, our small Inter group set the stage on fire with their electrifying performance. Their energy, precision, and sheer passion for dance captivated the audience of hundreds, leaving them in awe. It was a testament to the fact that greatness knows no size. Well done, girls! Your performance was simply outstanding, and the love and admiration from the audience were palpable.
Creating new friendships.
The CYD? Nottingham Regionals was not only a day of competition but also an opportunity for our dancers to come together, share their love for dance, and make new friends. From our adorable Minis to our seasoned Seniors, they all had a blast, embracing the challenges and showcasing their growth. It was a joyous celebration of dance, where talent blossomed and bonds were formed.
Events like Can You Dance? provide a valuable platform for dancers to showcase their skills, gain exposure, and foster a sense of camaraderie within the dance community. It’s a chance for dancers to not only refine their technique but also to learn from others, be inspired, and continue their journey of growth and improvement.
